35L NOVA TRAWLER
"a raised "lounging" pilothouse trawler"
The 35L offers a unique perspective to purpose and function in a live aboard trawler.
We took a lot of good ideas from previous boats and used them in our 35L design.
Starting with the 35T Nova Trawler design, we stretched
the wheelhouse to make enough room for a L shaped settee.
By moving the seating into the wheelhouse we have built a
a lounge with a view. Hence, "the lounging wheelhouse".
We have also introduced new design details (not shown above)
to add a more salty and traditional style.
Our new design has more deck overhang on the side walls, more camber to the decks,
a deeper visor with a brow, longer bow rail, and dutch doors in the wheelhouse and cockpit.
We now also offer a "chariot" style flybridge.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE 35L
The trawler with a lounging wheelhouse.
The wheelhouse is designed for cruising, lounging, and formal dining.
It is elevated to give the best sit down visibility and has lots of windows
that makes it bright and cheerful. When serving appetizers or drinks, the dining
table converts into a stand-up serving counter. The L-shape
settee provides a single berth or can be converted into a double bed.
The steering station has a large inclined dash with a helm chair.
The master cabin has a centerline queen bed, eight storage drawers, double wardrobe and
large floor footprint.
The aft cabin has a full galley with stove,
fridge and freezer, wet locker and lots of storage compartments.
The head is complete with toilet, pedestal sink and shower stall. There is a transom door that provides easy access to the dinghy or dock and a proper ladder
on the swim platform to get out of the water safely.
Nova Trawlers are built to one of the toughest “Rules for Construction” of small vessels
in the world. We offer solid hull integrity with composite cored decks and structures.
This gives the best strength to weight ratio, excellent for heat insulation and noise
damping. Nova Trawlers are serious coastal cruisers and built for the sea.
