CUSTOM "DESIGN AND BUILD" BOATS

We custom design and build to your specification and to your budget.

This is a step by step process where you can be involved as much or as little in the design decision of your boat. We do the engineering, hire the architect and provide drawings for your approval.

You have choices on interior arrangements, head room requirements, location and style of galley, wheelhouse design, lounge and dining, head location/s, shower arrangement, sleeping accommodations, cockpit configuration, deck layout, flybridge, engine selection, boat speed, range, instruments, electronics, ancillary equipment and just about everything else that goes on and into a boat.

You select the level of finish, from a clean fiberglass interior to a dressed up wood interior of your choice. You pick the colors for the hull, deck, bottom and waterline, and you pick the options and standard equipment you need or want.

We have several standard hull sizes available 35, 36, 38, 40, 45 and 50 offered in a variety of beams, the maximum being 25 feet wide. Nova Scotia built boats are known for superior stability and excellent roll damping qualities and have been tested by our commercial fleet in the North Atlantic in some of the most severe coastal weather conditions know to man.

All our hulls are built according to stringent construction standards issued by Transport Canada and certified by Canada Steamship Inspection. This is one of the toughest "Rules for Construction" of small vessels in the world. The decks, cabins and wheelhouse are constructed of a composite sandwich core structure engineered to ABS standards. This gives the best strength to weight structure and is excellent for heat insulation and noise dampening. The boat is wired to ABYC electrical standards and outfitted with top of the line equipment. We incorporated state of the art material and building techniques throughout.
